The Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr Nurudeen Yekinni ‘Lanre-Agbaje has expressed the determination of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s administration to ensure that food is available to the residents of Lagos through various agricultural support programmes.

Dr Agbaje made this known while leading a team of management staff of the Centre for Rural Development (CERUD) on a knowledge sharing tour of Erikorodo Farm Estate in Ikorodu. The Special Adviser harped on the need to strengthen CERUD for increased capacity in order to contribute more meaningfully to Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEME+ Agenda.

Speaking further, Dr Agbaje opined that the knowledge gained from the visit and the observed farming models will be adopted by CERUD in order to enhance her productive capacity, provide innovative training models for farmers and other critical rural stakeholders, and to serve as a tourist spot for qualitative agricultural research for both local and international researchers.
